What we can do

Corrosion is a gradually destructive natural process of material degradation resulting from a reaction with its surrounding environment. The process is electrolytic in nature. corrosion comes in various forms and therefore requires specific tests
  • Test for detection of susceptibility to intergranular corrosion in austenitic stainless steels (as per ASTM A262 Prac. A, C and E)
  • Test for detecting detrimental intermetallic phases in duplex stainless steels (as per ASTM a923 methods a, b and c)

Franktech Metallurgical Services (Franktech) was born out of Frankwen Forge’s in-house test laboratory in January of 2003. The laboratory (i.e. in-house laboratory) was then renamed with the intention of divorcing testing from the parent company so as to provide complete impartiality to the testing activities and thus increasing the customer’s confidence level in the test results produced.
